Learn How to Become a Tutor for the Socrates Afterschool Project
Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009
11:30 a.m.
HH 107 (Chemistry lecture hall)

Learn about this amazing volunteer opportunity to make the difference in the life of a child. Pat Adams, director of the Curious Kids Museum, will be the guest speaker. In addition, a Socrates Workshop will be convened on Sunday, September 6 at 107 Halenz Hall on Andrews University campus at 2:30 pm.  The main objectives of the workshop are to allow networking and facilitate scheduling between tutoring volunteers and site coordinators from Benton Harbor, Berrien Springs, Buchanan and Niles. All are invited to attend the September 9 Socrates kick-off and the September 14 Socrates Workshop.  Priority for tutor assignments will be given to sites that are represented at the Sunday Workshop.  Socrates After School Project volunteers are expected to begin tutoring from Monday, September 15. Volunteer today by contact Desmond Murray at 269-757-1641 or socratesafterschool@andrews.edu.
