Position summary

Griggs International Academy is looking for a student to assist the Griggs staff. Applicant must be able to work 10-20 hours per week (spread out each day of the week) during the school year. We are specifically looking for someone who will be around during the summer and some holidays. Experience in or majoring in education is ideal (not required); however, an aptitude for technology skills are required. 

Qualifications summary

The applicant should be skilled at using technology, verbal and written communication, organization, following directions and managing time at work. There may be times that duties performed may be of sensitive and confidential in nature, thus the utmost confidentiality will be required.  This is an ideal position for an education major, but applications from other fields will be considered.  Ability to use technology and learn new technology is VERY important. 

Duties and responsibilities

Data entry/enrollments

Answering emails (good writing skills)

Grade K-5 Assingments

Mange standardized testing releases

Organize files and documents

Good customer service

Supervisory responsibilities

Not applicable

Qualifications

Good communication skills

Good time management

Productive use of time

Available and in the area in the summer

 

Technical competencies

Candidate will need to have the ability to learn to use the Student Information System, Windows, spreadsheets, etc.

Interpersonal interactions

Works well with a team of educators and provides good customer service.  The candidate must realize that this job helps young people be successful.
